Astor College, located in Dover, UK, is one of the top art colleges in UK,with a history more than 70 years. The entire campus building of Astor College retains the consistent style of British architecture in harmony with nature.
In order to better harmonize with other buildings in the campus, the main body of new teaching building in Astor College retains the effect of red brick decoration. Meanwhile, in order to increase the vitality of the teaching building, white linear decoration is added on the red brick curtain wall to make the overall style simple, calm but not lacking design sense.
The white line of exterior curtain wall is composed of Winsom stone honeycomb panels MIC27 and FIC27. Surface stone is Cream Belo imported from Portugal. Mild texture and elegant texture matches the fresh and natural design style of teaching building. In order to better match architectural style design,all stone honeycomb panel are customized L-shaped and U-shaped with 45 degree at corner to make all corners more exquisite and beautiful.
Winsom stone honeycomb panel is 1 / 3 weight of solid stone with same thickness only which can effectively reduce the building load and provide more guarantee in terms of safety in use. Stone honeycomb panel is made of natural stone and aluminum honeycomb panel through aviation composite technology. Even if surface is impacted, stone still tightly adhered to honeycomb panel, no hidden danger of fragmentation and falling, which greatly improves the use safety of natural stone.
