New Completed Project of Riyadh BRT Stations in Saudi Arabia

3. Project overview:
Riyadh is capital of Saudi Arabia, located in the plain of Hanifa Valley of center of Arabia Peninsula. Riyadh means of courtyard in Arabic, which is a typical oasis city, international metropolis, the largest city on the Arabia Peninsula, surrounded by an oasis, with vast data palm groves, palm trees and clear spring.

With rapid expansion and development of urban scale, urban public transportation system become more and more important. In 2012, the King Abdullah of Saudi Arabic officially approved Riyadh public transportation projects(construction of public transport, subway, light rail).Riyadh BRT Stations were important part of public transport system as well.


The appearance of Riyadh BRT station is composed of semicircles on both sides, novel and modern. Platform station building is designed based on the principle of providing convenient and comfortable waiting environment for passengers. Station ceiling adopts Winsom acoustic ceilingpanel with gradually-changed perforated patterns and acoustic pad at the back side for the purpose of aesthetic decoration and noise reduction.

To better meet the requirement of station model, Winsom supplied three panel types for 72 stations: L-shaped, flat panel and curved panel. In addition, L shaped panel and flat added opening to fit air condition. All panels supplied by Winsom are customized in the factory, without second fabrication on site to ensure integration of panels. With strict requirements on product quality, besides regular inspection by our QC, the owner also sent expertise to further sampling inspection again.

Another innovation of perforated acoustic panel adopted locking type openable ceiling system. Openable design could make convenience for maintenance forequipment and pipelines on ceiling, which will not affect the normal operation of station and improve the use safety of ceiling in the public area.
