Winsom successfully signed Silver Finn project

Originally thought that adding crisscross stone lines outside glass curtain wall would make the whole facade become complex and heavy, but when firstly see Silver Finn, it gives us a feeling of freshness, comfort and simplicity.

Silver Finn is a high-end office building located in Scotland. The whole building is dominated by glass curtain wall, which makes interior space transparent and bright. Using glass curtain wall increase the permeability of space, while the decoration of grid lines makes the whole facades a sense of spatial hierarchy instantly.

Facade grid line’s layout of Silver Finn is simple but appropriate. It is pale and monotonous if too sparse, and it is complex and messy if too dense. Line’s thickness is also very exquisite, the best collocation and layout will ultimately create the most natural and comfortable effect.

For the sake of safety, load and decorative effect, stone lines installed on Silver Finn facade are not solid stone lines, but U-shaped and L-shaped stone honeycomb panels tailored by Winsom according to shape design requirements.Natural stone are uneven and often with hidden grains, especially for outdoor decoration of buildings which have potential safety hazards of crushing and smashing. Using stone honeycomb panel not only can improve the safety, but also effectively reduce the building load. With the same thickness, the weight of stone honeycomb panel is one third of solid stone.

In order to make stone lines smoother and flatter, the corner of stone honeycomb panel use right joint design.
