Xiamen, China · November 28, 2024 – The national standard GB/T 45005-2024 "General Rules for Environmental Declarations of Construction Products and Services", jointly drafted by Winsom (Xiamen) Building Materials Industrial Co., Ltd. and over 40 organizations, was officially released today. The standard will take effect on June 1, 2025. Adopting ISO 21930:2017 identically, it provides crucial technical support for green and low-carbon development in China's construction sector.

As a key drafting unit, Winsom leveraged its R&D expertise in building facades and energy-efficient materials to contribute substantially to core provisions including:

• Product Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) methodologies

• Environmental indicator calculation frameworks
  The standard establishes comprehensive disclosure requirements covering the entire lifecycle of construction products—from raw material extraction and manufacturing to usage and disposal. By quantifying 12 critical environmental indicators such as carbon emissions and resource consumption, it creates scientific benchmarks for green building material certification and sustainable architecture evaluation.
